The business world is changing frequently. New business tricks and methods come to the field. Existing methods are changing. These rapid changes affect every function in a business including human resource management. Therefore, human resource managers should well aware about these changes. Specially, they should aware about challenges come to the HR field because HR managers are responsible to maintain a peaceful business environment.

Employees are composed with different types of individuals. They come from different cultural and social backgrounds. Variations in age, education, income levels, sex, mental status, physical conditions, social conditions and religious beliefs are some factors that impact on this workplace diversity. Many disputes, uncertainty and crashes can happen between these different employee categories. It is a real task for human resource managers to recognize these variations and manage all the individuals in different groups. Human resource management is accountable to train them to work together and realize business goals.

Change management is another challenge faced by human resource departments. Changes of their roles and responsibilities in the corporate world and changes of their jobs are some common issues face.

Therefore, it is important to understand every change they meet to accept those changes.

Giving compensations and rewards to employees within this economic crisis and tight corporate conditions is another big challenge faced by human resource departments. It is important to provide compensation and rewarding schemes that employees accept. However, it is not necessary to make agreements with employees when providing non-monetary incentives to boost their productivity.

Now, unemployment is very high. However, every company faces big challenges when finding skilled workers for their job positions. It is very difficult to find skilled and knowledgeable employees because many people have knowledge but no practical experiences or trainings.

Hence, HR departments must use various tactics to find skilled workers to fill job vacancies.

Training and development is the next difficulty experienced by human resource divisions. With the existing financial issues, it is difficult to put money on training and development sessions. However, it is an important procedure that should be done in every organization if they need to improve their efficiency. Therefore, human resource divisions should discover methods to train their workers when necessary. E-learning is one effective way which is used by many human resource divisions to train their workers without needless costs like travelling and research components.

These are some common challenges faced by human resource management and there are many other challengers. However, it is important to know the challenges come in advance, if you need to face it comfortably.
